First Holy Communion masses are held at the end of each RE yearend, usually at the end of April or beginning of May. There is one mass of First Holy Communions in English and two masses in Spanish. In April 2018 we had 60 students receive the sacrament of First Holy Communion in English and 220 students in Spanish divided in two groups.

Due to the overwhelming number of children left out of the regular RE program school year due to overcapacity, St. Thomas More offers an intensive RE summer program in Spanish. The course is design to prepare students to receive their First Holy Communion in just eight weeks, students meet daily Tuesday through Friday for one hour and a half which is equivalent to two years if attending the traditional RE program. Students receive their sacrament of First Holy Communion at the end of the course usually the first week of August. This program was started as a pilot program but has turned out to be very successful having a range between 25 and 30 students enrolled each year.
