Under Oklahoma law, “Every person having reason to believe that a child under the age of eighteen (18) years is a victim of abuse or neglect shall report the matter immediately to the Department of Human Services.”
 
The law further emphasizes, “Every teacher of any child under the age of eighteen (18) years having reason to believe that a child under the age of eighteen (18) years is a victim of abuse or neglect shall report the matter immediately to the Department of Human Services.”
 
Moreover, teachers have an additional duty to report under Oklahoma law: “Every teacher of a student age eighteen (18) years or older having reason to believe that a student age eighteen (18) years or older is a victim of abuse or neglect shall report the matter immediately to local law enforcement.” Okla. Stat. tit. 10A § 1-2-101(B)(1)-(2)(a-b). Reporting is mandatory with due regard for the seal of the Sacrament of Penance. Charter, Art. 4.

To report an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor by clergy or Diocesan personnel to the Diocese of Tulsa, you may call the Chancery at 918-294-1904 and ask to speak to either the Vicar General or the Chancellor.
 
If you wish to report by leaving a message, you may call the Pastoral Response Hotline: 918-307-4970. Callers will be greeted by a voicemail by which they can report the allegation of sexual abuse. The hotline is monitored by the Director of Child and Youth Protection, an employee of the Diocese of Tulsa, and all allegations will be handled according to state and federal law, according to the USCCB’s Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, and according to the  Policies & Procedures for the Protection of Children & Young People for the Diocese of Tulsa.

Según la ley de Oklahoma: “Toda persona que tenga motivos para creer que un menor de edad menor de dieciocho (18) años es víctima de abuso o negligencia deberá informar el asunto inmediatamente al Departamento de Servicios Humanos”.
 
La ley también enfatiza que: “Todo maestro de cualquier niño menor de dieciocho (18) años que tenga razones para creer que un menor de dieciocho (18) años es víctima de abuso o negligencia deberá informar el asunto de inmediato al Departamento de Servicios Humanos”.
 
Además, los maestros tienen el deber adicional de informar de acuerdo con la ley de Oklahoma: “Todo maestro de un estudiante de 18 años o más que tenga razón para creer que un estudiante de dieciocho (18) años o más es víctima de abuso o negligencia deberá informar el asunto de inmediato a las autoridades locales”. Para reportar la alegación de abuso sexual de un menor por parte de un miembro del clero o personal empleado por la Diócesis de Tulsa, usted también puede llamar a la Cancillería de la Diócesis de Tulsa y hablar directamente con el Vicario General o el Canciller de la diócesis.
